Hey Y’all!
Just wanted to take some time to share some photos from a shoot I was the makeup artist for with model Jackie Harper. The shoot took place in Los Angeles, CA for the sake of updating Jackie’s modeling portfolio and was done with photographer Brittany Berggren. As a side note, if you look throughout my blog you’ll notice many shoots that I’ve done with Brittany. We have a fantastic partnership- every time we get together the work we produce together is awesome.
As a makeup artist, it is so important to be able to work with good photographers. It doesn’t matter how beautiful you make a model, the wrong photographer can really hurt the final product. I’ve been fortunate enough to have worked with some amazing photographers, but have also had the experience of working with photographers that can’t properly catch the moment.
Jackie was an absolute pleasure to work with. As you can see, she is absolutely gorgeous and beautifying her wasn’t very difficult. For this shoot I have her dramatic makeup and curls- she wears them both beautifully!
Attached are some photos of the shoot. My favorite photos are the one to the left, and the photo directly below. I like the photo to the left because of the contrast in colors- Jackie standing in front of the brown fence, coupled with her tan, blonde hair and outfit makes for a very good shot. I also really like the shot below not only because Jackie looks beautiful, but because it features Jackie’s tattoo which I think she wears very well. The shot below that one is also a lot of fun (the one with Jackie on the baseball diamond holding the baseball bat). I like this one because I am a sports fan and the saying on her shirt is very cute (still ballin’!).
